What credentials should user accounts have to run PlanetPress Suite applications?

Details

PlanetPress Design and PlanetPress Search will run correctly with standard user credentials except for a few advanced operations like deleting jobs from a print queue when using the data capture tool.

As for PlanetPress Watch/Server and its companion services, it is up to the end-user to set the credentials each of these services use to log on to the Active Directory. When desiging a process, it is the designer's responsibility not to have it perform any action that could require a higher level of permission than what the service's account is set for . This is a frequent source of error as the designer's User Credentials often differ from the actual service's User Credentials. In addition, note that when PlanetPress Watch/Server isn't running under the LocalSystem account, Active Directory must be set to allow services to log on as a user.

Finally, the PlanetPress Watch/Server Configuration Tool was specifically designed to require an account with Administrative rights to run correctly.
