You need to have a PlanetPress Care contract active in order to open an issue and use the web support or phone support system. The number you see there is the one that needs to be called between 9-5 eastern time.
In the meantime, if your rebuild gave you no results, you should make sure that you have access to where the PDFs are stored. This could be a rights issue where you no longer have access to the directory with the stored PDFs.
It would make sense that if search could not longer access the PDF files that things would go wrong. While this may not be the problem, it is definitly a good place to start.
