Hello, I have been under quite a challenge trying to get PDFs to print via the workflow. The problem is not with Planet Press, it is an outdated version of Oracle that we are using. I cannot use the PDF's from Oracle because they are corrupt, and we are not using a supported version or Oracle to correct the problem at this time. We have another option of exporting RTF files from Oracle. I was able to successfully convert the RTF file to PDF by right clicking the document and converting to PDF. I tested this PDF in the workflow and it worked. My question is how do I simulate the "RIGHT CLICKING action in the workflow so I can use the RTF files as an input? any help would be appreciated. Dan

Dan,

The "right clicking" action probably means that a third party program is associated to this file type to convert the .rtf to pdf. Therefore, you might be able to use "Run External Program" to call up this program and try converting the rtf automatically using this.

Of course, you need to make sure that the program can be run as a service, and without any input from the user. Otherwise, it will not work. Also, please note that we cannot provide any support for the use of Run External Program, as there is no way to predict how a third party program will behave when used by our software.

Are there any other options to convert a RFT into a PDF via the workflow?

There is no native RTF to PDF converter in PlanetPress Workflow. You will have to use a external program to do it.
