Guys, What is "W3010 - Error Creating Directory" error ? How to fix the same? I am trying to READ files from a WINDOWS 10 computer to a Windows server. There is a SHARED FOLDER on the WINDOWS 10 computer and is accessible from the server where WATCH is running.

Hi Anwar,

Watch will not just try to read the files, it will try to move them to it's temp directories, so you need both Read and Write permissions to capture from the folder. If you only have Read permissions, it won't work and you will get this error.

Make sure whatever user account is assigned to the Watch services has both Read and Write permissions to the shared folder, and that should fix the issue.

W3010 - Error Creating Directory as you will see in then link happens when Workflow doesn't have proper rights to a folder.

You might have rights when running Workflow Configuration tool but remember that you are running it under a desktop user and not a service user. Even if they are the same, they are different as far as Windows is concerned.

Check with your IT so the request folder is fully accessible (read write) via Workflow service's user.

Thank you Raphaël and Jean. The issue is resolved by assigning proper rights to folders.
