Objectif Lune is proud to announce that it now has ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification. This international certification attests to the effectiveness of the company’s information security management system (or ISMS in “ISO 27001 jargon”).
This certification proves that Objectif Lune has put processes in place to ensure data security. It also guarantees that OL uses industry best practices to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of its data. This is part of the company’s effort to assure compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
By having this ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification, obtained through renowned standards body BSI, Objectif Lune is reassuring its clients, employees and shareholders of the security of their data and its processes. That means OL has reduced its risk exposure, enhanced its reputation, and may even stand out from the competition when potential customers come knocking.
According to PwC’s 2015 Information Security Breaches Survey, 90% of the companies surveyed reported that they had suffered a security breach in 2014. Now, a security breach can be quite costly to a business, not only in terms of reputation, but it may entail high financial penalties, around $1 million on average.
Several months ago, Objectif Lune created a task force to work on the ISO/IEC 27001 certification. Consulting firm Seratos helped to enhance a number of security procedures.
To maintain this certification, Objectif Lune has committed to pursue the work it does to continually improve, while staying up to date in terms of security and protection of personal and confidential data.
