Edit Condition "Proper" - 01/08/08 03:22 PM

I am trying to use create an expression through edit condition -Proper. I go into Layout, edit condition, I select Proper(datafield) and then I hit ok and then it tells me *Action expected. Is there a quick guide for expressions? The help area does not seem to help me.

Create a text variable

1) Draw a textbox
2) Type: @1@ (any alpha/numeric characters between @s makes a text variable)
3) Go to Windows > Variables.
4) Click 2x on the "1" variable
5) Select Function & Data Field needed

That didn't work.

I am trying to use the expression PROPER under edit conditions. I thought all you do is select PROPER and then the data field from the data base and then it changes all the names to mixed case. PROPER(@first@) and then hit okay.

I also tried INT(@counter@). All my numbers seem to want to come up with a .00 after them.

Is there a quick guide for expressions?
Under the Components tab, select the option All and look for the function called Proper.
At the bottom of the Expression builder window, you will read a small description of the function and more.
