I'd like to copy and rename an input file to an alternate directory before it is printed. Is this possible without scripting?

Hello,

Under PWatch, the only thing you have to do is add a branch right after the input (Insert -> Output-> Send to Folder).

The best way to do this is to have your input method, insert a right branch with an output of send to folder. then on the main branch insert an input folder capture and select the acrhive attribute this will leave a copy of the data file and will not be picked up again.

Actually, the absolute easiest - and most efficient - way of doing this is to simply add a Send To Folder action task right before you print.

Remember: in PlanetPress Watch 5, the Send To Folder task can not only be used as an output task (as it could in previous versions), but also as an action task.

Therefore, adding this simple one-step task before you print will allow you to copy and rename the file easily.

Hope that helps.
