Hello All,

Can sombody explain how image transparency works in PP 5? I've been trolling the forums for an answer and I keep reading that I need a BMP image with an alpha channel, but nowhere can I find a program to create one. Photoshop 7 says that BMP images will lose all alpha channel info when saved. And any formats that do support it in Photoshop are unsupported for transparacy info in PlanetPress.

I have a color gradient fill as a backround for a form and want it to show through our logo.

Will tranparency only work for 2 bit images?
The image I am using is 24 bit color.
Do I need to convert it to an EPS for it to work?

Thanks,

Brent Strignano

Bitmap tranparency only works with 2 bit images.
Transforming the logo into an eps will not automatically remove the white from the back ground. This would depend on the the actual image in the eps file.

If you do go with eps files, the file will still display with the white bacgground in design mode, but will behave correctly at the printer.
