The cut, copy and paste keyboard shortcuts (CTRL+X, CTRL+C, CTRL+V) do not work as expected when trying to modify object attributes.

As an example, create a new PP5 document and place a text object on the page. Double click the text object and then select 'Basic Attributes' tab. Set the width to '=1+2'.

Now I'm going to try and cut and paste that "=1+2" formula to another field. If I highlight the whole =1+2 field and use CTRL+X, CTRL+V, the correct value of =1+2 is cut and pasted OK.

But now try highlighting just part of the field, 1+2 and use CTRL+X, CTRL+V. The cut removes 1+2, but the paste does not copy it back. Instead it copies whatever is already in the field. So if I paste back to the same field I should restore my formula to =1+2, instead I get ==.

Checking the contents of the clipboard, it looks like the cut & copy function correctly, and its the paste that gets it wrong.

regards
Stuart

I experienced this behavior and reported it to our R&D department.
