I recently created a new cheque form for our office. When I created the postscript file to drop on the print server, the file seemed very large (380KB). I reduced the size of the graphics, converted them to TIFF and was only able to reduce it to 340KB. As a test, I started a new (i.e. blank) PP form and converted it to PS just to see what minimal file size was possible - the result was 270KB. Our IT people say this 'blank' PS file is still on the order of 6 times larger than the old cheque PS (created using PP3 quite a few years ago).

Are these file sizes normal with new versions of PP?

Thanks,

Rob

Hello,

Since the engine behind the scene in PlanetPress has changed over the years and as new functionality is added (causing new code in the base Postscript) I would say it is normal to see sizes in the 300K range.
