Upon opening the form we use in the PlanetPress Tool i get this error:

"Exception EStringListError in module PPress.exe at 0002341D. List index out of bounds (-1)."

Then the file doesnt actually open. I get a corrupted version of the file all mismatched and garbled under the file name NoName.pp5

I've installed PP5 on a seperate computer and i still receive the same error. This form has worked fine in the past. Any ideas?

Hi,

Try to reset the PlanetPress settings by doing the following.
Press the Ctrl key, keep it pressed and double click on the PlanetPress shortcut on your desktop.
Keep the Ctrl key pressed until PlanetPress opens.

Let us know if that works for you.

Cosimo

Hello,

This sounds like a problem I had seen back in version 5 involving PPDs. Rename your PP5 file (back it up first) to filename.zip. Open it with winzip and delete the PPD file from the zip. Rename it back to PP5 and try and open it.

I had a similar problem with one of my forms a while ago. I was able to solve it by copying and pasting elements one at a time from the problem form to a new form until I found the one that was causing the error (it helps to have two instances of PlanetPress running side by side to do this).

I re-created the problem element manually and I have had no problems since.
