I am attempting to print an invoice for an application that has more items than can fit on one page. How can I implement logic using line printer mode to tell the document to continue on to the next page when there are no room for any more items on the first item page?. And subsequent pages?

I should add that this is page 13 of a 15 page form. I just want to continue the list of items onto another page 13 with the field headings printed on the top. So the doform() command will not work for me.

Thanks

Hi,

for the exceeding data to be printed on a second page and so on, an overflow condition has to be created in the PlanetPress document.

A tutorial about how an overflow condition is created (using an data XML file) is available. The link on the page is : Simple Data overflow
http://www.objectiflune.com/OL/en-CA/Download/DownloadCenter.aspx?Product=PlanetPress&Cat=Tutorial#1

Hope this helps.

My data file is an ASCII text file and I am using line printer emulation. Is there any way to create an overflow condition and continue on to another page using line printer emulation?

Thanks Again

Hi,

Sorry for the reply delay.
Yes an overflow condition can be created for line printer emulation. The overflowing data will print on the next page and so on, if needed.

Hope this helps.
