Trying to license new printer, I print the status page and I just get a lot of pages of what looks like Post Script code.

My PS driver for other windows functions works fine, I can print a test page and other documents. The Canon driver is PS3 v4.37.

I'd appreciate any ideas. Thanks.

Hi Bary,

Make sure your printer is set to postscript mode. You can change this on its menu. Many printers offer the autoswitch feature. Also check the "force printer into postscript mode" checkbox on the status page window in PlanetPress. That should ensure you to get a valid status page. Thanks.

Regards,

Olivier

Bary,

If there is still an issue with printing the PlanetPress Status page, you could try with the StatusPageX utility. It can be downloaded from:

Thanks for your replies. The StatusPageX produced the same results and I couldn't find an option to force the printer into postscript mode.

I contacted the vendor and they couldn't find it either. They're coming up to update the firmware release on the machine because there is supposed to be an option for it.

Hi Bary,

To force the printer in postscript mode, you have a check box available in the document management window from where you print your status page in PlanetPress Design. If you need, you can open a support call so we can assist you in your efforts.

Olivier
