I am having a problem with the Planet Press water mark printing on most of my statements. It started with just a few, then has progressively gotten worse. Is there a simple solution?

Hi,

To help you troubleshoot this issue, please answer the following questions:

- Is your printer licensed?
Please verify if the printer activation codes are indeed listed under Help > Printer Activation.
- How are you printing your invoices?
Directly from PlanetPress Design, from PlanetPress Watch or another method?
- Is the watermark printing on all your invoices?
Try printing a new form with only a box. Does this have any watermark?

Please test and advice.
Regards,
RZ

hsturtz,

If you're getting watermarks, it means either the software or the printers(or both) magic numbers have changed, and needs to be reactivated. Go to Help->Software Activation, and double-check that your serial and magic numbers are the same than the one you originally sent to activations. If it's different, you'll need a new code.

After that, go to Help->Printer Activations, and double-check that your printer is in the list, and if so, if it's magic number is different than it was when you activated it. You may want to print a new PlanetPress status page on it to get the current magic number. If it's different, you'll need a new printer activation code.

If you use Watch, then once both the software and printer are reactivated, you'll need to recompile the forms to Watch by opening them in the design tool, and going to File->Send To->PlanetPress Watch. I suggest you stop the Watch service before sending the forms, because otherwise, I've seen cases where the forms aren't updated properly. After it's all done, resend your Watch config, restart the service.

Once it's all done, try printing again, and see if the watermarks goes away.

Regards,
Rapha

My printer is licensed and the magic number and activation code match what was given to me when I started using this printer. I do use Watch and wasn't here when they set it up, so I don't know if the magic number is the same or not, I don't have access to that communication.

I just printed a batch of 6 invoices and of those 6, 5 had the watermark.
The watermark reads:

PlanetPress 5.3.1.2324
US06W-453534-6393

The second line is our serial number for Watch.

The watermark is printing on the first 5 pages and then it skips 5, prints 5 and skips 5 until the end of the file is reached.

It's actually already done, I am handling this issue internally.
