When using a Memo field in Access to print large amount of text, PP cannot interperate carriage returns, so paragraphed text in Access result in one big paragraph. The carriage returns are shown as a series of squares.

Is there any way of resolving this?

Many thanks.

Stuart,

Try changing the emulation to ASCII, and maybe check the "Read in binary mode" option, see if that helps emulation the file correctly. Just know that the binary mode option isn't always supported on some printers. If that's the case, try using "Run Locally".

You could also try using Watch and a Search and Replace action, to replace the square by a crlf character.

Regards,
Rapha

It should be noted that memo fields are not officially supported in PPress (exactly for the reasons mentioned above).

However, here's one more thing you can try: in your PlanetPress document, change your style's encoding so that the CR and LF characters are replaced by spaces (or some other character).

This will leave a couple of empty characters at the end of each line where previously a CRLF pair was found.
