I have a Watch process that creates pdf files in a local folder on a Win XP machine. The customer has program running on a Linux box, this program has a routine to copy these PDF files for web publishing, but the linux program cannot copy these pdf files, returning a "Access Denied" error. And the weirdest thing is, that, if you manually copy the PDF and paste into the same folder (generating a file name like this Copy of XXXX.pdf) the customer program succeed on doing the routine copy.
Does anyone have a clue?

Hi,

The PDF is created correctly as I understand.
I am not sure if this is related at all to PlanetPress Image. I would check the user rights and security - properties of the PDF and folder.
Does it happen with other PDF's not created by PlanetPress Image.

Thanks
Cosimo

Hi,

After some research, we are aware of this issue.
What you need to do is the following.

Use another directory for the "output" directory the PDFs.

Set up a new process that grabs those PDFs and moves then into the final output folder. The capture folder/send to folder will reset the permissions correctly.

Thanks
Cosimo
