Does anybody know what the magic number that the status page prints associated with? Is it the printer's HD, IP address ?? Why is it necessary to activate a printer?

Hello,
The magic number is generated with different components of the printer and is unique ID for every single printer.

Our licensing is per printer and once the PlanetPress Documents are compiled with the activation codes for the licensed printer, they print without a watermark. Any PlanetPress document printed to an unlicensed printer will print with a watermark.

Hope this answers your questions.
Thank you.
Maria
