I was wondering if it is possible to edit separate records.

For example, we have 1500 labels and we only need to reflow text for about 10 of them. I can't seem to do this without messing up all the rest....

Paul,

Variables will affect all records. You'd have to use an "IF" condition in your variables, so that the alternate text would only appear if the current record is one of the 10 records. For example:

IF(RECORD_NR() = 5 or RECORD_NR() = 10, "Text A", "Text B")

If the record is the 5th or 10th one, it will print "Text A". Otherwise, it will print "Text B". You could do something similar with your job.

If you need a more complex layout modification, you could also create a second layout, and put a condition on the layout so that it would only print if it's one of the 10 records. So you'd have one layout that prints most of the time, and a second one that would only print on 10 specific record. Syntax of the condition would be similar to this:

IF(RECORD_NR() = 5 or RECORD_NR() = 10, Print, Skip)

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have more questions!

Regards,
Rapha
