I am trying to create a PSM template that will allow a customer to order invoice books,
in PSW the customer enters first number in sequence and pages required per book, a softproof is created and then proceeds to checkout where a quantity is entered.

My question is; is it possible to have the books numbered sequentially based on the checkout quantity entered?

ie; book one 001-100, book two 101-200 and so on.

If you want to use the number of copies feature, the page is created and then really copied. In that scenario, numbers will also not change for each copy.

If you were to create a PSM document with a large amount of pages, and use the print/skip layout function if the page number exceeds the amount asked, you can do numbering.

Also, when multiple books are ordered, it should be possible to start the number of the next book where the first left off - IF you use the upload database feature. Otherwise, again, it will be an exact copy of the first book (1 record on user input).

So, with a few tricks, you could achieve the output required. I'm just thinking that the upload database to get a number of records may not be very 'nice'.

Is it possible to have a user input field carry through to the checkout, entered in the quantity field?

This will work I hope.
