Hello,

No, PlanetPress iWatch does not come with PlanetPress Suite 6 by default. In fact, all our software licenses are sold separately.

iWatch is not included in the PlanetPress Suite 6 installer. It is a seperate one.

We strongly recommend you contact your local Sales office for more details on PlanetPress iWatch.

Thanks

Thank you, that is what I thought. Just to make sure I understand what it can do, I have one question. Can iWatch take a report printed on the iSeries and feed it to a Windows server to be processed by Planet Press Watch?

Hi,

Yes you can redirect the output to PlanetPress Watch. You simply use the IP address of PlanetPress Watch in the Printer Queue and it will get re-directed to Watch.
So instead of outputting to a printer it will go to Watch.
Your Input in Watch will be LPD.

Hope this helps !

Cool, then it can automate the feed to Planet Press Watch, which is what I needed to know.

Could one define a printer queue on the iseries and point it to the IP address of PlanetPress Watch without iWatch?

Yes,

I have a number of customers that use the iseries and print to a process in Watch that runs scripts or other actions on the job.

From what I understand it is just a matter of defining a LAN Printer on the iSeries. Then configuring it with the IP Address of the server and a unique Name for Planet Press Watch to associated with the LPD Input Task. Is that correct?
