We have a PP5 form that has a couple Watch.SetJobinfo variables. We when convert this to PP7. The variables don't work.

In PP7 Design they are =&Watch.JobInfos[1]

and in PP7 Watch SetJobsInfo and Variable #1 is set to %M for the current month. What we do on the form is that when it makes a pdf we want the current date on it.

What changed since version 5 and what do we have to do to place a variable in the form so that when it goes to watch that watch puts in the current date?
thanks

Hi cpamc,

It should still work. Please try using any job info from 6 to 9 instead, as the first 5 are "reserved" for Input tasks. If anywhere in your process, between the time you set your jobinfo1 and the time you output, you cross another input task, your value will be overwritten by the input task's jobinfo 1. Make sure also to check the box "Add job info to the document" in your PPImage output task, and UNcheck the box "Ignore PlanetPress workflow job info values" in the jobinfos tab of your Document properties in PPDesign.

Please let us know if you still don't have the right values/no values.

Regards,

Olivier

Hi cpamc,

In your post it was not mentioned, but does the PDF get created at all? Are you putting "/" in your date as the PDF name or PDF content? Because having illegal characters in a file name will prevent it from being created. Please provide more info if this is not the case and it still doesn't work.

Regards,

Olivier
