Is there a way to stop the PS rasterizing while you are working on the document? If you have a background shell it stops and does this every time you try to do anything making it almost impossible to get anything done.
thanks

Hi,

Make your resource display only if system variable &printermode is different than 0. The value for this system variable is 0 only when you are on the workspace.

And where do I find that to set it?

cpamc,

That would be on the picture object's condition in the basic attributes. You can type this:

=&printermode <> 0

As a side note, you can also increase the size of the pitcher cache size. If your picture is larger than the cache size, it will reraster it often. However, if you increase the cache size to be larger than the picture, you won't have this issue.

To do this, go to the user options, image resources and change the "Picture Cache Size".

(User options/prefrences are found by clicking on the PPress logo in the top left corner and choosing prefrences)
