Hi there

Has anyone had some experience in performance issues with PP Design and global variables? Any limitation on the number of global variables it can be used in one document? Any impact under Watch too?

Cheers

bordeaux,

There is no limits in the number of global variables, but having many of them does make scrolling through data pages much slower. It is due to the way the global variables have to be coded in PostScript for them to work. However, from my experience, it doesn't have as much impact on the printing speed or Watch, though I would still expect a document with many variables to take a bit more ressources than one without.

Regards,
Rapha
