Good morning,

What needs to be configured to send completed forms to the Planet Press Workflow? We have the PlanetPress Office program running on the server, but we do development on individual workstations. On the development workstations, when we "send to PlanetPress Workflow" the server is not listed. The PlanetPress Suite Messenger service is running on the server, and we even looked into the Firewall.

What are we missing?

Hello,
Your machines need to be on the same subnet.

Also make sure that on both machines the port 5863 is opened so PlanetPress Suite Messenger can communicate properly.

Let us know how it goes.

Dan,

There are 2 important things that need to be done:
1. All your stations need to be on the same subnet (192.168.1.x for example). Having stations on 2 different subnets won't work (10.0.0.52 will not communicate with 10.0.1.41, for example)
2. You must add the IP for each machine in the Workflow tool's Access Manager (Tools, Access Manager, add the IP and check the "Send Document" option)

Also, when you're in the Send Do, PlanetPress Workflow window, you need to hit the small "Refresh" button at the bottom-left of this screen for it to actively search the network (not extremely intuitive, I'll admit).

Hope this helps,
Eric.

Thanks for the info. We were able to get this portion working. One machine is still having a problem but my guess is that's firewall related.

Thanks again.
