Are Non-Standard Watch Plug-ins that are compatible with v6 also compatible with v7?

I tested a few plugins, including the Zip.dll plugin, and they should work.

Error W1525 most likely means that you didn't register the plugin with regsvr32. This needs to be done in order for Windows to recognise the plugin. (and this isn't new to version 7, it was like this in version 6 as well)

What you need to do:
1. Copy the dll in
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Objectif Lune\PlanetPress Suite 7\Plugins

2. Run the DOS command prompt, and type:
regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Objectif Lune\PlanetPress Suite 7\Plugins\Zip.dll"

You could also just type regsvr32, and then drag the dll in the DOS box. This will automatically add the path.

This would register the Zip plugin. Run the command again for every dlls you want to register. After that, they should work fine in Watch.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Rapha
