Hi, when I duplex a PDF and refresh the metadata it doesn't reflect on the datapage - index in document setting, which as far as I know shouldn't increase when it's a duplex page. Also, Datapages in Document show a count as if none of it was duplex. Do these options not work for PDFs?

Leeroy,

I believe it's a normal behavior, as the metadata will not interprete paper handling commands, which obviously only apply to printers. If you generate a pdf with Image, for example, the pdf will be two pages, and so if the metadata was taking into account the duplex on the printer, it would then be wrong for the pdf.

Your best bet might be to use a custom metadata field if you want to take the duplexing into account, and make your own page counter. Here's some information on adding a custom field:

Additonal help on using metadata:

Hope that helps!
