Hi all.

I have run in to a little issue, in our PSW we have 2 companies that both have a publication type called "Posters" but the products inside the publication type is not the same.

So we have:

Company A: Publication type(Posters) => Poster A and Poster B
Company B: Publication type(Posters) => Poster C and Poster D

How can i do that ?

The problem is that in my logic, I should create 2 publication types, one for company A and one for company B, but the system relate the publication type to the PSW system in general and not to the the individual companies.

So there cant be 2 publi.... types with the same name.

Help ? :S

Can you explain the steps taken to create the publication types?

I have done some testing on PSW 7.04 and I was able to create two publication types with the same name and assign them to different companies.

How I did that, was inside of PSW go to publication type and add a new publication. After it asked me to what company I wanted to assign it to. I chose COMPANYA for example. Then created another publication with the exact same name and assigned it to COMPANYB. And it worked fine.

Let me know if this is what you were looking for.

Regards,

Marc

Wow okay, my steps was, go to companies select company A, go to Publication types and create a new one with the name of one from company B - its a no can do :D---

But the way you did it works perfectly here also, im confuse why this dosent work the other way around since the logic should be the same. laugh
