Hi All.

I've been trying to create a Setup cost for the publication type rather than the product. In such a way that if people selects a product from the publication type posters there will be a setup cost of 20.00 $ but if they select another item from the same publication type there will not be added any more Setup cost, no matter how many different items they select from the publication type "posters" there will only be added 20.00 $ to the pricing.

Hope some of you guys can help me out.

You can select one of your Publication Types, then under Pricing and Ordering(to the right of the screen), you'll see a Settings option. Click on it, then move down and click on Edit. Click "Enable Pricing", and under "Costs", uncheck Use system default, and you will now be able to specify the setup cost for that particular publication type.

Raphael, I think Reprohhuset means, if people are ordering more than one item out of the same publication type that they only get charged for the setup fee once, not once for every item they order from the specific publication type.

Raphael - Thanks for the responds but as TyranXWC says it isn't the solution im looking for.

NOTE:

I've talked to OL GB - and they say that there ISN'T a way to do this. So im thinking, how about making a php script that uses the sessions to handle this and then puts a item in the cart thats named Set up costs or something. Could that be a way to go ?

That would probably work. However, note that having us develop custom php scripting will require you to purchase professional services, it is not a free solution.

If you want to look at this on your own, there are many php files in the "templates" directory of PSW. Open the one that corresponds to the skin you're using, and then you can try playing with the php files. Note, however, that in the other directories of PSW, many of the .php scripts are encrypted and cannot be modified. If modifications to these files are needed, you'll have no choice but to purchase professional services.
