Hi,
I have a data file (a txt file) and I have to generate many PDF's from this file (about 1000). In the process I split my data file with a specific word, and then I create the PDF's, but the process is very slow (every PDF needs more than 10 seconds). I tried to create a single PDF too, from the same data file, without splitting the data file, and in this case it needs only 2-3 minutes for all the pages against more than 2 hours for the 1000 separated PDF's?

Does anybody can suggests me if there is some tips to speed the PDF generation?
P.S. I can't split the PDF because I don't know the number of pages of a single output file.

Thank you in advance
Alessandro Rossi.

Hi Alessandro:

If you create a metadata marker at the document level, you can split the pdf using the metadata sequencer and the create pdf action. Please note that this requires planetPress Ofice or PlanetPress Production.

Hope this helps,
