Hi,

I have problem that spaces in the sentence with Japanese
are collapsed in variable text box on V7.
It was correct on V6.

so, it looks something wrong in V7 with multi byte font.

Hirot,

I have reproduced the problem, the spacing between the characters in version 7 is definitely wrong, and indeed it looks correct in version 6.

However, once outside the expression editor, the text on the screen looks fine, so it seems like this problem is only in the expression editor, and it will actually print fine. Do you also get this problem on the actual printout?

In any cases, this is probably an issue to report to the developpers.

Regards,
Raphaël Lalonde Lefebvre

Hiro,

Here's the answer of the developpers regarding this issue:

"We always want the font in the expression editor to be Courier, but this did not work properly in version 6. It reverted to SimSun. In version 7 it is always Courier, which is correct. Unfortunately Japanese characters appear to be much more condensed in Courier.

I'll see what we can do."

So at this point, they have confirmed the issue and will work on it.
