We have a EnvelopeNow (EN) client with the following EN configuration.


Machine – DI425 – Basic OMR



Fold – C Fold , Double fold.



File –



Identify – 1st Page.



Text somewhere on page – “contains = 1 of”(logic used in NBAD to detect 1st page)



2 Sided Printing – Long edge.



Mark – Front.



While printing in duplex mode(we tried multiple printers including reverse printing ), the last page to be fed(“first page of doc”) comes first in sequence, if we load it to the DI425 machine it gives an error “Expected 1st sheet of set E85”.



In one sided printing the sequence is coming perfectly okay in all printers.


BACKGROUND



1 - Initially the job that puts Basic OMR marks for the DI425 inserter was running on a demo version of EnvelopeNOW (EN) version 1.1.1.5641, on a WinXP machine for testing purposes and the output was as expected.

2 - The newer version - 1.1.2.5691 of EN was installed on a Windows Server 2003 R2 machine, where the issue is occurring.

I poked around the EN system folders and modfied the .enp file to fix the problem. Here are the steps :-

1 - Browse to C:\Users\<user>\Documents\PlanetPress EnvelopeNOW\Projects. This is on a Windows 7 machine, I am not sure about the location on your O/S. Basically this is the location where EN stores the config files of projects.

2 - Open the folder in this location that corresponds to the project name. On our test machine this was C:\Users\<user>\Documents\PlanetPress EnvelopeNOW\Projects\<project_name>, the same name as the project inside EN.

3 - Open the file ".enp" file in this folder, in a text editor. The .enp file will correspond to the project name.

4 - Search for the XML node - <PrintOrder>1</PrintOrder>
Replace the 1 with 0 in the above XML node - <PrintOrder>0</PrintOrder>.

5 - Save and close.

7 - Open EnvelopeNow and run the project for which the above steps were performed.

That should fix the order of the pages.

Update:

Apparently the above suggestion did not work for the client.

The customer is using Xerox WorkCentre 255 Machine(PCL6 driver) with Finisher(Top tray and Stacker Tray) and Face down printing to print the statements.



We tried duplex printing in normal and reverse pages mode/Output in collated and un-collated mode/Output destination in Auto, Top Tray and Stacker tray.

We tried different combination of all these but the output sequence is wrong for multiple pages.



We need the output as in the following e.g.



E.g.: Statement with 4 pages –



Desired Sequence as per OMR logic of DI425.

Page 1- OMR Mark – last page to be fed(Address of the customer is only on this page).

Current PP Envelope Now Version - 1.1.2.5691. As pr the client all was working fine when they were using the version 1.1.1.5641 (demo).

Please advise how to resolve this problem.
