I need to create a document with a variable image field for user input.

I need to create documents with image fields, for the customers to upload their own photos into. I have tried everything... And I have also tried to first make a database with an ole object field in it, upload it, and drag it onto my PrintShop Mail document - give it the user input. Inside Print Shop Web I then changed the Data field properties to both collection and user upload image. When I did that I was able to upload an image, BUT on the document I could only get the path to the image to print (There was no picture...). I know how to specify a data field for tekst directly from inside PrintShop Mail, and change it for user input. But when I just make an image field, I´m not able to change it for user input. How do I specify the data-field in my database correctly for image upload (since I need a data field for my image, in order to change it to user Input)? Or how do I make an image upload field from inside the PrintShop Mail program? How do I make image fields for image upload - and how do i make them for the customer to choose a photo from a collection of backgrounds I allready created and uploaded? Another question I have is: Can I create a PrintShop Mail template with an image field for the customer to upload an image from a collection in the background - and another or more imagefields on top of the background image field for the customer to upload an image of their own into? And how do I do it? I look forward to hearing from you, since this would be really usefull to our customers. Sincerely

Birgitte,

When you create an Image object in PrintShop Mail, it should automatically create the appropriate variable in the Variables panel. In this panel, double-click on the image name to edit its expression, and in the expression box type in a database field name that would be unique to this image, for example [BackgroundImage] .

In PrintShop Mail Web, create your image collection in the Collections tab.

Once you've done this, in PrintShop Mail Web you should be able to set the [BackgroundImage] database field to use the collection you create and when you generate your job it will use the image from the collection.

If you need further help, please open a technical support request, as it will be easier if someone from the tech support department can connect to your machine and see your document and configuration. You can do this by phone or through the web.
