I'm trying to figure out what I can do to get the image closer to what I start with in the EPS. When I create a PDF using Soft Proof it's close enough to perfect that I can live with it. The other two scenarios are not quite as good as I would like them to be though and that is how those PDFs are usually made.

Slightly off the topic of the previous paragraph, is there a way to put in a dynamic output file when printing to a watch server?

CGorman,

Have you tried setting the dpi to 2400? As you can see, from 150 to 300, there is already a noticeable difference in quality. Setting it to 2400 should take the original pdf in the highest possible quality, and so it shouldn't lower the quality.
