I've setup a business card template with all the standard information:

Name
Title
(*this blank space needs to be here)
Phone#
Fax#
Cell#
Email Address

However, some people do not want certain info on their cards like a Cell# for example. Because nothing is enter in this field, it leaves that line blank, but I need to have the lines moved up so there are no blank lines between the information. I realize there is a "Remove Empty Lines" option in the Properties panel, but then it removes the space I need between the title and the following info. Any help is much appreciated.

Kat,

An easy fix would be to put a character on the blank line underneath the title, and set it's color to white. This way, it will not show up when you print, but since there is something on the line, it won't be removed by the Remove Empty Lines feature.

Another possibility would be to simple use one text box for the Name and Title, and then use a second text box for the other information, and leave a gap between both boxes.

Hope that helps!

Regards,
Raphaël Lalonde Lefebvre

Both great ideas Raphaël, but I'm setting it up for PSM Web so maybe I should have posted this topic there. Sorry about that.

I need to have my customers fill their info and if a field is blank, I need the blank lines to be removed, so I'm guessing I need to edit the expression in some way to achieve this.

The original template was setup in one text box due to the fact that the text needs to be centered in that box vertically and in turn, centered on the business card. So if they didn't want a Title for instances, I would have extra spaces between the Name and the rest of the info (when I only need one space between).

I'm sorry if this is confusing (it probably shouldn't be)...I'm confusing myself frown

Raphaël, I was having some issues with my computer earlier and restarted and tried your suggestion and it did work. I guess I'm not so worried about the centering vertically as long as this looked good and it does. Thanks so much!!
