Hi All,
We are having two process where PDFs are essential.
1. PDF is created and saved in a folder
2. PDF is emailed to the customer or vendor

The PP Image is failing us and the PDFs are not being created.

The error from 1st scenario is given below:

The error from 2nd scenario is given below:

DEBUG:
ERROR: I1007 : Error while converting to PDF : Error converting file: Error getting a temporary file.
ERROR: I1005 : Error while processing job; moving file to error folder: 143FD7F7.ps

Hi Rakesh,

Is the folder used to output those PDF files local or a network drive?

If it is a network drive please check the following things.

If you go under tool->configure services. Are you running in local system account?

If so - you might want to try to use the login crendentials used to log into windows.

If you are already logged in as the user for the machine - make sure they have the proper rights to read/write to that specific folder.

If it is a network folder what is the path you have entered?

You have to use UNC and not a mapped drive letter.

If you see the problem in both scenarios is "error to create temporary file (267). The directory name is invalid."
The folder to output the PDF files is in local drive.
My questions is- What is the directory that PlanetPress use for creating temporary files. The problem is in that location?

If you look under configure services how are the services running?

Does this happen to all the PDF files you try to create?

Under configure services the services are running as domain\administrator account.
Yes this problem we are facing with all PDF files

If you open the form in Design and use the data that you drop into those folders are you able to get a print preview?

That is odd. The only thing I can see would be some login rights

PlanetPress usually will put the temp files in document and settings/all users/objectiflune/xxxx for WinXP/2k3

Programdata/objectiflune/planetpress/xxxx for Win2k8/Win7.

Try to run under local system account see if you are having the same issue.


If you still cant figure out the issue I would suggest opening up a support call so we can look into the issue further with you.
