I have a question about the print jobs ,

I need to capture the user name with each print job, which one of the following is possible and how?

1-put print job owner “username” in PJL header inside job data
2-put print job owner “username” in LPR header

3-put owner in job title in format: login.job_name or login:job_name or login/job_name or login\job_name or login_job_name;

appreciate your help,

When capturing from certain inputs, like the LPD Input or WinQueue Input, the name of the user is stored in the job info 1. After that, you can do whatever you want, and call %1 whenever you need to use the user name. So you could add some headers using the Add/Remove Text action and use %1 to call the value of the job info, and you can of course put some formatted text as well.

Hope that helps!
