When I try to choose the font, the Design interface crashes. This was working a while ago, now I can't choose a font from the list. Any ideas?

I've already tried the usual restarting computer and I've checked that fonts are working correctly elsewhere, e.g. Adobe InDesign

Binka,

Did you recently install a new font in the Windows fonts folder? If so, what type of font was it? (TrueType, OpenType, Type 1, etc...)

Yes, and since I last set up a new PlanetPress Design template about 2 months ago! I had our corporate and Adobe fonts added, folder Windows/Fonts now showing 823 items. Is there a way around this? We need to use corporate fonts in the new design. Thanks very much

I was using the standard TT Arial for the test.

Does it happens when trying to choose any fonts, or only from certain types of fonts?

For example, can you select a "PS, printer, single-byte" font without error? They don't use the Windows fonts folder, so if they work fine, it may be a problem with the TrueType fonts installed. Do you remember the last font that you have added before it started happening? Maybe one font is causing this issue...

If the "PS, printer, single-byte" doesn't work, then there could be something wrong with the install. I would suggest maybe doing a Repair of PlanetPress, and see if that helps.

Regards,
Raphaël Lalonde Lefebvre

Repair didnt work I'm afraid, both still blank. Shall I reinstall from a new download? Will my codes still work?

Yes, try reinstalling, and feel free to redownload as well.

The registry keys for the activation codes should not be affected in the process, so you shouldn't have to reactivate.

Great, I have reinstalled from a new download, all the keys were fine and the fonts are now behaving impeccably. Thanks very much.
