Hi, I've gone through the previous threads about this error and nothing seems to work. I produce PDFs on a daily basis with image and have been doing so for years with no issues.
I'm on version 7.5
Any ideas? I can create the PDF through the template with no issues. But when I set it up on image it won't produce.
thanks for any input!!
Here is the log file:

Hi ebclout,
Are you getting the same error using printer centric and optimized PostScript? It might be a font encoding issue. What are the font types used in the faulty form? PS-Printer, PS-Host, or TT-Host?
Let us know! Regards, Olivier

Hi Oliver, Using optimized post script.
fonts: I have - Helvetica font that is PS OCR font TT Arial font TT IMB font TT
We have many templates and these fonts have never been an issue. However I do see two fonts that are the same installed in the template (Helvetica is added as a style twice)

I did try to generate a PDF using the template but this time used printer centric - came up with a rangecheck error box.
Error converting file: rangecheck

Hi ebclout,
Please backup your form, and in a copy delete your IMB style, and possibly your OCR style too, have them substituted by the Arial TT. Let me know if you still have issues. The CharOffset error code seems to indicate there might be an issue with some fonts characters, likely IMB. Or even replace all styles with your Arial TT style, just to determine if fonts/characters/encodings are the issue here.

Hi Oliver, I've removed the IMB font and it generated the PDF. However I need that font to produce the IMB barcode.
Do we have to purchase another font? Is there an alternative ?
Thanks for your help on this. Eric

Hi ebclout,
I do not know what font you are using. I recall people using the USPS IMB font found on their website seemed to have no issues. Also, if you have access to the proper data, you could use the native IMB object from PlanetPress and see if it works better for you.
I cannot tell you to buy anything else, but one thing you could do is open a support ticket to see if we can find a workaround.

I changed all the font to TT. Then went back and added the IMB - worked ... then the OCR - worked...then I changed the two fonts I had that were PS fonts back and now I'm having no issues. I have no idea what I did other then change the fonts around but it is working.
Thanks for your help.

Hi ebclout,
It is possible the font that was set in the design document was not the exact same one that you currently have on your computer. Re-selecting it probably "refreshed" to the proper font file and allowed the form to output fine.

That, or there might be an issue with the encoding that was somehow solved by re-selecting the font. Do you by any chance have a copy of the document that still has the error? I would be interested in taking a look at it.
