I see the default style, blog style and rounded template. Are there additional templates available from anyone to customize the look more? Can you use templates from places like monster templates or do you have to design from ground up?

PrintsPlus,

The software comes with these three templates, but we don't have a collection of templates to offer besides those three. That said, you should be able to customize them as you see fit. (provided that you have the necessary knowledge of web programming to do so, of course)

Regards,
Raphaël Lalonde Lefebvre

When I try to open the welcome.php to edit it shows a bunch of scrambled characters. Is there a special program I need to edit this file?

PrintPlus,

You can modify the template, but not the other parts of the software, for intellectual property reasons.

I dont want to make any changes to the software. I want to create a custom welcome frame for my customers so I doesn't look so plain. If I understand correctly, the welcome.php is the file I need to edit to do this.

You can change the welcome message in Settings -> Languages -> English. If you want to change the design around that message, you need to edit the template itself, not the welcome.php.

Basically, the template controls the general look of the application, but you cannot edit the individual pages themselves, as those files are encrypted.

However, there is a sort of workaround. Since we use jQuery by default on the site, you could use it to detect which page you're on (by looking at the "pageid" GET variable) and manually change the contents and design of the site using jQuery functions. Unfortunately this is not something that we directly support so you're on your own.

Alternatively, we do offer professional services to do custom work on installations of PrintShop Mail Web, however this does come at a price and you would have to contact the reseller from whom you've purchased the software to set this up.
