On a support issue quite a while ago it was mentioned that the next release would be 64 bit (we were having some resource and memory issues at the time).

Will that be version 7.6 or later? Is there an estimated timeframe for the 64 bit version yet?

The next major release should be a 64bit version.

What kind of resource and memory issues are you having?

Even though PlanetPress is only a 32bit application it can use a lot more than the limit of 3.75gb that a 32bit OS can use.

So you can install PlanetPress on a 64bit OS and use all the memory needed. Each module of PlanetPress can use up to 2GB of ram.

So you should not have any memory issues using the current 32bit version of PlanetPress.

We have some processes that are processing an extremely large number of small files and others that process very large file (i.e.:1.5gb). These will push teh workflow module past that 2GB limit.

Is there an estimated time for the next major release? I wouldn't hold you to it....

The 2GB limit is for the memeory usage and not the file size.

As far as the new release, all I can say is stay tuned
