We're just getting started with our set up for a new install of PlanetPress (Design V7 + Production V7.) We have not yet purchased our Windows hardware or activated the PlanetPress Suite software. And we have an initial question for you….

In the PlanetPress Suite v7 "Getting Started Guide" there's the following statement:

"PlanetPress Suite is not supported in Windows Terminal Services environments and in Windows Cluster configurations."

We planned on putting a rack mounted Windows box (one that meets your recommended system requirements) in our data center, and then using CoRD (http://cord.sourceforge.net/) on Mac OS X computers to connect to the Windows server via Remote Desktop.

Will this work?

Multiple sessions over a single installation do not work and are therefore not supported.

Don't need multiple sessions, but would be ideal if we could remote connect via a single session. Is this possible?

It should work as long as Terminal Services are not enabled on the Windows system, even for a single session (Terminal Services virtualizes a number of system folders which PlanetPress Suite needs to access).
As for the CoRD Remote Desktop software itself, we never tested it so we cannot validate whether or not it performs correctly.
