I am trying to print variable data on a 9x12 selfmailer - 2-sided. I want to run it 2-up on a 12 x 18.12 sheet.
I am printing to a Konika C8500.
I guess I don't understand how PSM and the printer (using CREO technology) 'speak' to each other. My print preview looks how I want it to print but to do this I need to choose 'PrintShopMail printer'. But then when I try to print it doesn't print correctly. If I choose CREO process in printer setup I don't cannot choose the size I need.
We can of course cut them down to 9x12, but of course that has a dramatic impact on click charges. I can do it this time but I want to be able to run these jobs 2-up in the future.
Suggestions GREATLY appreciated. I can usually figure these things out but this one just has me baffled.

Thanks

Hi Melinda,

The configuration of the page in PrintShop Mail is entirely dependant on the printer driver that you use. The choices of paper available are those defined in the printer driver that you select, it's not built-in into PrintShop Mail. That's why the choices you get when using "PrintShop Mail Printer" and your Konica C8500 driver are different. Generally, you should always select the driver that corresponds to the printer that you're going to use, the PrintShop Mail driver is just a generic driver to make sure that a driver is always available, but isn't really meant to be used for printing.

If the desired paper size isn't available in your printer driver, then you need to make it available. There's generally two ways you can go about this:
- In Windows, go to the Control Panels->Administrative Tools->Print Management->Print Servers, select your server, then right-click on Forms and choose "Manage Forms". This will allow you to define custom paper sizes available on your server, so try adding your size and see if it takes it.
- If it doesn't work, try going to the Advanced settings of your driver, and see if you can choose a custom paper size from the driver's interface. Depending on how the driver is configured, it may or may not show up in PrintShop Mail, but might still work correctly when you actually print.

Let us know how it goes!
