We currently own Planet Press and are looking at purchasing PrintShop Mail specifically for Kanji support. We have the demo downloaded, could someone direct me to information on how to print Kanji top down right to left? Thanks

Hi doil,

Unfortunately, there is no "vertical input" option in PrintShop Mail that would allow you to write top to bottom.

You can sort of simulate it by shrinking the text box enough for only one character per line, and it will write down vertically. I suppose you could then do some anchoring between multiple boxes to make multiple columns. This would be a workaround for small blocs of text, but might not be suitable if you know you'll need to write a lot of text.

Okay the odd thing is a client said they do it - that's why we are looking into possibly getting the program. We asked them to send a setup and sure enough it does work with some caveats.
They have a text box simple left justified and vertical aligned and the text appears correct such as:
EA
FB
GC
HD

*Note this is Kanji. Now if we create a new text box and enter content the text is not rotated as desired, then the odd thing is if we copy data from them and paste it in it is rotated correctly. -To summarize I have no idea but it seems it is an encoding issue with the font/data or along that nature.
