Okay, I'm researched what I can on this and I'm hoping there's a switch here I just need to flip.

I'm running Production on one machine, but have Image installed on two machines to increase our productivity. In the past, this seemed to work. This month, however, I'm getting these errors:

From the Production machine:
LPR Request - 12:02:03 AM
Address: 10.45.174.15; Queue: image
W2332 : Receive ACK failed: Unknown (0)
W2317 : Connection reset by peer.
image: W2316 : Error while sending file (7/23/2014 12:02:03 AM)
LPD Request - 12:02:03 AM
Connection from 10.45.174.15
Print job request for queue: image
W2233 : Receive Data failed: WSAENOBUFS (10055) : No buffer space available.
W2208 : Connection reset by peer.
Connection closed
End time: 12:02:03 AM
End time: 12:02:03 AM
LPR Request - 12:02:03 AM
Address: 10.45.174.11; Queue: image
W2332 : Receive ACK failed: Unknown (0)
W2317 : Connection reset by peer.
image: W2316 : Error while sending file (7/23/2014 12:02:03 AM)
End time: 12:02:03 AM

And on the Imaging machine:

LPD Request - 12:02:03 AM
Connection from 10.45.174.15
Print job request for queue: image
W2233 : Receive Data failed: WSAEFAULT (10014): Bad address.
W2208 : Connection reset by peer.
Connection closed
End time: 12:02:03 AM

What's (not) going on? I've got firewalls off on both machines, so no traffic should be blocked, but I'm really not understanding these errors.

Hi Toby,

It appears to be some kind of LPD/LPR related issue, not Image, but it's kind of difficult to pinpoint the exact cause. Are you always getting these errors when sending a job? Or is it random? If it's random, what's the frequency? When has it started, and are you aware of any changes that took place around that time? (not necessarely just in the PlanetPress config, but on the machine as well)

General recommendations:
- Make sure that the services have proper admin user credentials.
- If you have "LPD Services" (or "TCP/IP Print Server" for older machines) active on your machine, turn it off. It cannot be used in conjunction with our own LPD service, and it will cause issues if both are running at the same time.
- You have turned off the firewalls, but check the anti-virus if you have any. Try either turning them off, or at least, add the PlanetPress system folders to it's exceptions to make sure it doesn't interfere.

I would start with that. Let us know what you find!

Regards,
Raphaël Lalonde Lefebvre

It's constant as of this month, apparently. Nothing is getting through. I'm running the Image on Windows 2008 64 bit and don't see anything related to LPR/LPD...

Did you try rebooting the PlanetPress server?

Lots and lots. Image is really the only thing running on it at this point.

Then it sounds like you may need to have someone from Support look at your system. I suggest you call 1-866-348-5863 and request Support, or use the web page to contact them:

I was afraid you'd say that. At least I'm current on my contract!
