Jaime Arcila OL User Registered: 02/01/01 Posts: 58 Loc: Medellin,Colombia	Hi: Does anyone know how to remove rebuild/update Search Database permissions from end-users? How can I avoid end-users from rebuilding or updating the SQL Server PPSearch database? Thanks for any suggestions. Jaime

Yannick Fortin OL Expert Registered: 08/25/00 Posts: 354 Loc: Objectif Lune Montréal	If you open the PlanetPress Search Profile file (the .prf file) in a text editor, you will see a list of key-value pairs. One of them is named ReadOnly. Set its value to 1. This will disable all database-related menu items. Granted this will not stop anyone who reaaally wants to update the database, but it should at least take care of the casual user or accidental clicks. _________________________ Yannick Fortin, Team OL
