I have two in-house built desktop application that prints to Planet Press 7.5. The printing from the applicatiosn were working on Windows XP. Recently, the OS on the desktops was upgraded to Windows 7 and presently the application is no longer printing to Planet Press. There is no error reported either.

We are on Planet Press version 7.5.2.7722

Hi Acenden,

While there shouldn't be any compatibility issues, since PlanetPress works very well under Windows 7, it's possible that while doing the migration, something else changed that might make it so that it no longer works. If there's no error, it probably means that the data isn't even making it to PlanetPress, the connectivity is not done properly.

Here's a few ideas of things you can verify:

- Make sure that the services are using an administrator account.
- Make sure that firewalls/anti-virus or other security settings are not blocking connection to your machine. (try maybe disabling them, and see if it helps)
- If using LPD Input, go to Tools->Access Manager, and make sure your new machine has give permission to your data source to send data. (may require a service restart if you change anything)
- Again, if using LPD Input, check the Windows services. If you see "LPD Service", disable it, since it will interfere with PlanetPress if it's running.
- Make sure that the upgrade to Windows 7 hasn't caused the IP address to change, or other changes that would affect the ability to connect to it. If it has changed, make sure that you change your data software to use this new address.

These are a few things I can think of on top of my head. If after having tried all that, you still experience problems, then contact our Technical Support service to investigate this further.

I have finished testing on the Physical Windows 7 machine and it has worked fine.

So, the problem seems to be in the Virtual Machines that use Windows 7.

I think it would be best to raise this as an issue with Customer Support.
