Hi,

I have a Postscript file which contains over 9000 pages.
Is there a way once created to split this file into smaller files?

Thanks.

Hi Raymond,

Is this a PostScript file generated with PlanetPress? If so, then perhaps you could just split the data before the PostScript is generated. It would also be possible, using a script, to obtain the data that's usually at the end of the postscript, and generate multiple smaller files out of it. Not necessarely easy to implement, but possible. (but splitting before the file is generated would be much better/easier)

For a non-PlanetPress postscript, however, I don't think there's much you can do, as a PostScript file could be constructed in any number of different ways. If you were to upgrade to version 7, you would have the possibility of converting the PostScript to a PDF, and then use the PDF Splitter to split the pdf into multiple files. This could be an option to consider.
