Hi,
customer have plan to run planetpress on Vm with vmotion environment.
although I knew current PPS 7.5.x support Vm (vmotion), but how about mgc# change and licenses for PPS.
they concern about down time on production, they have to recover as manualy if mgc# changed by use even vmotion.
if no change mgc# use by vmotion that is no issue.
any idea ?

regards,

Hello hirot,

If the user is currenly running their machine under VMWare ESX and are simply planning to add VMotion support to it, there should be no effect on their uptime. The magic number changes when the machine changes (especially hardware changes), but VMotion doesn't change the machine's specs, it just moves it.

If we didn't support vmotion this may cause a magic number change but since we do... it should be fine.
