We often use the same PSM-designs, and as we work with new directorys every month I copy old PSM-files to the new directory.

In previous versions of PSM when I moved a PSM-file (template) from one directory to another, the connection with the database with the previous database/directory was disconnected and you were prompted to make a new connection (to start with the directory you put the file you work in).

In the current version of PSM when I move the PSM-file from old directory to new directory, the connection with the database in the old directory stays in touch. I manually have to close up and make a new connection.

Is there a way to automatically disconnect when moving PSM-templates from one directory to another?

Thanks!

EDIT: in the User Guide there there is this mention: "A template does not save the link to the database you may have used in the designed stage of the PrintShop Mail document."

Hi Rodolfo,

it seems I cannot replicate the behaviour your describing (no database prompt when moving template to different directory)in earlier versions of PSM (7.2.4 / 7.2.3). The connection is/stays active as when moving the psmd template to another directory. The only option to switch to a different DB is to do this manually, as you described already.

Best Regards
