In PP imaging, when trying to send an email with the "use Microsoft Outlook" checked, I received the following error.

i1032 Extended Mapi unavailable. You are trying to execute an Extended Mapi call while Simple Mapi is in use.

Hello Duane,

What version of Outlook do you have installed on the machine, and what operating system are you currently running?

OS is windows 7 Pro on a virtual machine
Outlook is Office 365 Exchange
vs 2013 (15.0 4727.1000) MSO (15.0 4727 1003) 32 bit

We are trying to go this route to get around the fact that Planet Press does not do SSL and the Exchange login for SMTP requires SSL

The issue is that you're using Office 365. We currently do not support Office 365 and our current implementation of communicating with Office is simply unavailable in that version.

Essentially, the gist of it is:
Quote:
Another important consideration for Outlook is that some third-party Outlook add-ons won’t work with Office 365. Many of the Outlook add-ons (such as antivirus software, message archiving software and so on) are based on Messaging Application Programming Interface (MAPI), and Office 365 doesn’t support using the MAPI stack. As such, MAPI-based utilities won’t work with Office 365.

Note, however, that Office Professional Plus 2013 *does* work, it's specifically the 365 version that doesn't. The difference is mostly in the installer, 2013 can use the full installer that includes MAPI support, 365 uses the click-to-run installer which does not.

A bit more information after some sleuthing around... you might be able to work around this. Please check the following page for potential information that can help you:

Notably, question 3 seems relevant.
